Hi, my name's Frank. I have set this fundraiser up on behalf of Sharon Adong. She's a friend of my aunt and I'm compelled to use this platform to help her because it isn'tavailable in her region.
Please read her statement below:

HELP MY FRIEND FIGHT LUPUS, KIDNEY FAILURE AND HAVE HER NORMAL LIFE BACK:
Hello my name is Eve, and my friend Sharon Adong has been battling lupus since 2021. She currently lives in Uganda, Africa. She is battling with Lupus. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where the body's immune system attacks its own tissues and organs. It can affect the skin, joints, heart, lungs, and kidneys causing widespread inflammation and damage and this is having a toll on her.
She has moved from one hospital facilities to another trying to find a solution and at some point she was misdiagnosed. Lupus is new to all of us(friends, family and immediate family). I have walked this journey with her and I have seen how she has pulled through the different episodes. She has been strong and encouraged all of us even when we have lost hope. She is a fighter and we have seen her pull through. We all admire her courage.
Earlier this year, after months of moving from one health facility to another and spending all her savings on hospital bills, she was diagnosed with kidney failure as a complication of lupus which is starting to affect other body organs too. Her blood pressure has been constantly high which has also been a big scare to us. A lot has changed her life upside down. She stopped working because she is no longer as productive as she used to be so she has no source of income anymore a part from depending on friends.
She is now dependent on dialysis to survive, a procedure that cleans her blood since her kidneys can no longer do so. Dialysis is physically and emotionally draining and she has to go for twice a week, but more than that, it is financially devastating. The cost is overwhelming for her and her family, and friends. She is doing her best but she can no longer work or do anything that brings in any income. The financial burden is too much to bear alone. Once a jolly girl and finally independent girl is losing it. Her family and friends look up to her in many ways. See some of the photos of once a jolly girl turn helpless attached below.

Sharon is 32 years old and a mother to a wonderful eight-year-old boy. He is her greatest motivation to keep fighting. She dreams of watching him grow up and leading him toward a successful and happy life. However, this illness has made it incredibly difficult for her to provide for him or her family. The child is emotionally damaged since the mother is always on bed. I believe he needs answers from a healthy mother. He keeps asking questions which sometimes brings tears to all of us. Sharon dreams of watching living a normal life again, a life without pain. Sharon is a fighter with no doubt.
I am humbly reaching out to ask for your support to enable her dreams and the dreams of her child come to life. The support can be financial, emotional. Any amount you can contribute will go a long way toward: Covering the costs of her dialysis treatments and transportation which she has to go for twice weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays), paying for medications and hospital visits and supporting her child and her family during this challenging time. She needs more than $750 monthly to cover all these needs which she can’t anymore. She is also ready for better medical services if anyone suggests it too. Anything to have her live normal life again, we are open to it.

Your kindness can make a tremendous difference in her fight to regain her health and secure a better future for her son. Even if you cannot donate, sharing her story with others would mean the world to her. Each donation will mean a lot for me that words alone cannot really express.
Some of Sharon's Profound Achievements
1. She is a 32 year old mother to a wonderful eight-year-old boy who doubles as my greatest motivation to keep fighting. In her youthfulness , she has a child to look after who looks up to her for love, care, and nurturing.
2. She has been practicing school based social work, a number of young girls and boys have been impacted through my work and school field visits.

All these can be found on the None in three Web page.

Thank you for taking the time to read her story and for any support you can offer. Together, we can overcome this challenges.
