Help Sharon aka Wonder Woman beat breast cancer!
On May 30th, my family huddled around
the phone on a speaker call with my
sister Sharon’s doc. We were gathered to hear the results from her breast
biopsy. When the doc confirmed it was
Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma
(aka breast cancer) I reached out to hold my best friends hand. I’m not gonna lie, I think I was as scared as she was.
When we hung up the phone my sis criedBut make no mistake, she didn’t break. In her true fashion she quickly wiped her
tears away and assured us she’d fight it
and beat it!….just like the rest of the
Wonder Women/Survivors she knows,
she’d be okay.
I love my big sis so very much. So much
so, we’d walk around like two morons
holding hands when we were growing up.
I’ll continue to hold her hand every step of the way. Every treatment, every test,
every moment, I’ll be there! If I could
fight this battle for her, I would…But I
can’t.
So, instead of obsessing over what I can’t do for her I’ve decided to focus on what I can. What I CAN do is try to ease her
financial worries and give her every
resource I can think of.
The funds we raise will assist her with
her medical bills, help her purchase a
more reliable vehicle and will allow her
to take time off and stay home and cozy up with her boys during treatment.
Our entire lives, my sister has been a
silent angel to tons of lucky humans.
She’s the first person to show up with a homemade meal if you’re sick, Whether
she knows you or not! Haha. During the
holidays ,she’s adopted families
in need. She gifts toys, food and her
unconditional love, to those who need it.
...AND further more !.... (with my finger in
the air and an English accent)
Back in December our 81 year old Dad
nearly lost his life to a battle with COVID. She moved him into her home
and helped him recover. A few years ago She became a CNA with the dream of
caring for others and nursing them back to health. In the midst of all of this, she’s a single working mama, who has
dedicated her life to raising 2 honorable
little men, Chase and Caiden.
I know my Sis will kick cancers ass. Let’s help this Badass Chic put her cape on
and soar through this! I love you with all my heart, Shar. Karma is a real thing.
Mom and Dad taught us a lot about it
and they were right. You’ve watched the
love pour in, and YOU are not alone. It’s
now your turn to be cared for.
FUC& CANCER!
On behalf of Sharon and my entire
family, Thank you friends and fellow
secret angels. We will keep you updated on her journey on her Facebook page
called “The Day I Became Wonder
Woman ” there, you can also send your
encouragement and love! Oh and don’t
forget the silly memes, cuz she
absolutely loves that shit.
So much love to you all.
Todd
