For Sharon Adler and her kids
Many in Wenham know Sharon as the kind of person who would step in to help anyone without hesitation. Now Sharon and her family need that same support. On Thursday, a dehumidifier caught fire in the basement of their home. Although the fire was put out, smoke spread throughout the house, leaving heavy damage behind. Most fabric and porous items, including Sharon and the kids’ clothes, now need to be thrown away. The family has also been told they will need to be out of the house for at least a few weeks while they deal with the aftermath.
What makes this even harder is the timing. Two of Sharon’s kids were already in the middle of packing for college, with one preparing to start freshman year, and now they are trying to move forward on schedule while also losing so much at home. This fundraiser will help Sharon and her kids with immediate needs like new clothes, college move-in basics for her two oldest, food, and daily essentials while they are displaced. Sharon would never ask for help for herself, which is exactly why we’re asking for her. If you’re able to give, even $25 can make a real difference. Please also consider sharing this fundraiser so Sharon and her kids can feel supported and breathe a little easier in the weeks ahead.
