Help Sharon Access Life-Changing BPD Treatment

Hi, my name is Sharon. I’m an individual who is currently diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I am currently seeking additional mental health treatment that encompasses many therapies such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other group therapies to achieve a path of mental health wellness. Recently, I found an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that specializes in helping those with BPD. This program will aid me in gaining structure, support, and therapy I need to build tools and finally achieve real, lasting change. I’m ready to change my life for the better, but I need support getting there.

Living life with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) can feel like an emotional rollercoaster, one I can’t get off. My feelings fluctuate quickly and with intensity, sometimes I don’t even know who I am or how to feel secure in my relationships. Some days I can feel terrified; human fears like being abandoned, or not being enough for a friend or in my work life can wreak havoc on my life. Sometimes even feeling the exhaustion of trying to keep it all together can be too much.

BPD affects how I understand myself, how I am relating to other people, and how I care for myself under stressful conditions. It can be very hard to do "life" and the variation of moods can be staggering.

One of the best treatments for Borderline Personality Disorder is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). DBT was created specifically to help people like me cope with overwhelming emotions, have healthy relationships, and build coping skills that actually work. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) I’d like to attend provides structured and thoughtful DBT multiple times a week with group support and individual care. Consistent, yet intense treatment is what allows me to make real and lasting change. It’s more than just a day in a life; it’s a new way of living that isn’t terrorizing, unstable or devoid of hope. I'm convinced this program that will lay the groundwork for healthier living.

I am ready to commit and make change happen, but I need help getting there. The biggest challenge right now is covering the cost of treatment. While insurance helps, it doesn’t cover everything, and the remaining expenses are more than I can manage on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out, to ask for support from those who are willing and able to help me take this next step toward healing.

I’m hoping to raise $4400 to help cover some of the key costs that come with treatment, such as program and therapy fees, transportation to and from sessions, and the medication and materials I’ll need along the way.

For a long time, I thought I had to handle all of this on my own. I’m learning that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in connection, with support, and with community. If you feel moved to contribute, I’d be incredibly grateful. Even just sharing this means a lot and helps me feel less alone in this process.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. It means more than I can say. Just knowing that people care gives me strength and reminds me that recovery is possible.
