The Foster family has deep roots in Jamaica and is actively involved and engaged in the Montego Bay area. Many of our friends in and around Montego Bay have experienced the destruction caused by Hurricane Melissa. We are working directly with these friends to provide support and help them rebuild their lives.
Three people very close to our family have experienced heartbreaking destruction: Ramsay, Sharlene, and Neville. Each of them has suffered major damage, loss, and disruption to their lives, and they now urgently need support to rebuild.
We have known and worked with all three for many years. They are hardworking, kind, and deeply valued members of their community. This fundraiser brings their needs together so we can efficiently help them recover with full transparency.
Ramsay’s Loss
Ramsay’s home was completely destroyed by the hurricane. He lost nearly everything and must rebuild from the ground up. He needs materials, labor, and immediate essentials such as food, clean water, clothing, and basic supplies.
Sharlene’s Loss
Sharlene’s home suffered severe structural damage. The roof was torn away, multiple windows were blown out, and walls were compromised. Rain and debris damaged or destroyed many of her personal belongings, including clothing. She needs support to repair her home, clean up the damage, and replace essential items.
Neville’s Loss
Neville lost a significant portion of his roof, which in turn damaged part of his ceiling and interior. He now needs help securing materials and labor to replace the roof, repair the ceiling, and restore the damaged areas of his home.
How Your Donations Will Be Used
100% of the funds raised will go directly toward:
- Rebuilding and repairing damaged homes
- Purchasing construction materials and covering labor costs
- Roof replacement, wall repairs, and structural restoration
- Cleanup and debris removal
- Replacing clothing and other necessities lost in the storm
- Providing emergency essentials such as food, clean drinking water, and daily supplies
This single campaign allows us to support all three individuals in the most organized and impactful way.
This fundraiser is being managed personally by Debbie Foster and her children in Florida, who will oversee how every contribution is used. We will also share photos and updates regularly so donors can see exactly how their support is helping Ramsay, Sharlene, and Neville rebuild their lives.
