Help Sharlene Recover from losing her home in the Eaton Fire

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Rochelle and my sweet sister Sharlene Joachim just lost her home and everything she had last night from the devastating Eaton Fire going on in Altadena, CA right now. I am so thankful she is safe, but I am beyond heartbroken for her loss, my cousins Hazel and Ed Perez who also lost their home, and so many friends and loved ones in the community. This is all so awful, and I am at a loss of what to do. My sister is one of the most selfless, beautiful humans on this planet. She has worked in special education for over 25 years, traveling all over the world teaching other teachers how to help train and provide the best quality of life for adults and children with special needs. She is an emergency care volunteer for single moms in need of support, and used her home on the weekends taking in children who needed a safe place. She is one of the most generous people I know, and even in this tragedy, her thoughts were still of others first. Before we knew her house was gone, she said it all looked and seemed like a war zone, and she felt for the innocent people in war zones right now who don’t even have the hope of rebuilding like we do here in America. But even with means or resources, it doesn’t take away from the devastating loss they are experiencing when your home and all its wonderful memories burn down. This is all so devastating and my heart is broken for them.
I want to help everyone, but I’m going to start with my sister Sharlene. (Someone started a GoFundMe for Hazel and Ed and they wanted this just to be for Shar).
Please help in any big, or seriously, the smallest way if you can. Nothing is too small. I want us to offer hope, compassion, kindness, empathy, and whatever else we can give them during this time. Please be kind-hearted as you hear about all the people and lives that these fires will impact, whether they are people known to the world or completely unknown. We are all human at the end of the day, and each person deserves kindness when they experience this kind of devastation and loss. Sending love and prayers to everyone hurting ❤️
