My name is Jo Ann Lowitzer. I live in Spring, TX. April 26, 2010 my daughter Alexandria stepped off her school bus not far from our home and vanished. You can read more about her on my website alexandrialowitzer.com or you can google her name to listen to many podcasts about her. I recommend Kendall Rae's episode on youtube.
Last year I attended Crimecon for the first time. I was amazed at the amount of missing person families in attendance. We made such a connection that made me feel like I was doing the next right thing. I was able to speak to them and share my story and emotions with them. It was a very welcoming environment. I met several podcasters and was invited to share my story with them. I took fliers and wristbands with me and quickly ran out.
This year instead of just being an attendee, I'd like to have a booth. Not just for me, but I would also be willing to share my space with any other families that cannot afford to pay for one of their own. The cost of the booth, along with hotel, food and travel is not cheap. I would not be able to do this unless I have some help.
I'm not asking for you to pay for my travel. Just help with items I would need to purchase to hand out with my daughters face and missing information on them, and for the booth space.
I am seeking to raise funds to secure a booth at CrimeCon and to cover the cost of essential marketing materials. CrimeCon is one of the largest and most influential conferences in the true crime community, bringing together industry professionals, advocates, media, and an engaged audience that is deeply invested in true crime awareness, prevention, and justice.
Having a presence at CrimeCon will allow me to directly connect with attendees, share important information about my work, and expand awareness through face-to-face engagement. A booth provides a critical opportunity to distribute educational and promotional materials, answer questions, build partnerships, and increase visibility in a highly targeted environment.
Funds raised will be used to pay for booth registration, printed materials (such as brochures, signage, and handouts, stickers, wristbands), and other marketing resources necessary to present professionally and effectively. These materials are essential for clearly communicating my mission, establishing credibility, and ensuring that attendees leave with lasting information and ways to stay connected.
By supporting this fundraising effort, contributors will be helping to amplify awareness about Ali, extend outreach, and strengthen engagement within the true crime community. This investment will directly support meaningful connections with other families, long-term impact, and the continued growth of the search for my daughter.
Thank you so much for your support.
