Hello, my name is Shaquanna Brown. I’m a mother and wife with three kids. I have fibromyalgia and HS. The two conditions are very severe and painful. They prevent me from doing simple things that most take for granted.

My husband and I purchased a home approximately 3 years ago. Due to my condition, we are in jeopardy of losing something that we worked hard to achieve. It’s very difficult for us to do this; however, there are times in life you just have to swallow your pride and reach out for help. There are days the pain is so severe I can’t even get out of my bed. The combination of the flare ups from HS and the chronic pain from the fibromyalgia is unbearable at times. I fight through it because my family needs me. My husband works very hard to try and keep things in order however between medical bills and all of the regular expenses it’s become overwhelming. I feel so bad because I can’t do much to help. I pray to god that a cure for these ailments can be found so I can do more to take care of my family.
