Help Shape the Future of North River Hills

North River Hills is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Burnsville, MN, and now we are actively working to become the first neighborhood organization recognized under the City's new neighborhood organization initiative.

On May 21, 2025, we will receive official recognition by the City of Burnsville, with the Burnsville mayor being in attendance to talk with neighbors and join us for a neighborhood group photo. At this event, we will serve root beer floats and are seeking donations to cover the cost of soda, ice cream, cups, straws, etc.

In addition, printing expenses will be incurred for a door-knocking session advertising the event and associated logo design challenge. We will be needing signs at the event and lawn signs to advertise in the neighborhood.

This neighborhood initiative is the culmination of a series of neighborhood meetings this past winter and spring to designed to maintain the integrity of North River Hills and help shape its future, inspired by a proposal to replace the neighborhood favorite "safe park" and elementary school with high-density housing.
