Hi, I’m Shannyn Caldwell.

On April 9th, the anniversary of the tornado that took my parents’ lives, I had planned to release my new book One Egg Noodles. Instead, that day became the start of a very different journey—I had a port installed for chemotherapy.

I’ve recently been diagnosed with Stage Four Triple Negative Breast Cancer. It’s aggressive, and the road ahead will be long and intense. As I begin this battle, I’m reaching out to my community for help with the mounting medical expenses that come with treatment—chemotherapy, scans, medications, and everything in between.

This isn’t an easy thing to ask, but every bit of support means more than I can express. Whether it’s a financial gift, a prayer, or simply sharing this page, I’m deeply grateful.

Hi, everyone! Thanks to your amazing donations, my mom has been able to purchase treatments and tools that greatly help her recovery. She's been getting chemotherapy every week, which has been hard on her body, but she is a FIGHTER.

Your donations have helped purchase treatments such as: acupuncture, a bio-mat, a juicer to help her get more nutrients in her diet, and much more. Your donations have also gone to travel expenses as she travels back and forth between her home, and MD Anderson, where she is receiving expert care. These things wouldn't be possible without you.

Update from 1/8/2026

Thank you to everyone who was able to support my mom on this journey. She no longer has to fight, and is now at rest.

Shannyn passed away today, with her loved ones in the room speaking to her and sharing memories. Because of this gofundme, Mom was able to receive extra care she wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Thank you all for supporting her.

She will be missed deeply.

I have a few updates for all of you who supported my mom this past year.

We will be having two funerals for her, one held in New Mexico in May, and one held in Michigan in June. I will post another update when I have dates confirmed for these two events.
