On Wednesday January 18th, Shannon Roy’s home caught fire while she was asleep in her bed. Thanks to her heroic dog Gunner she was awoken and able to escape with no injuries before the house was engulfed in flames.
Unfortunately the house has been destroyed along with all of her belongings. She was able to retrieve a few precious heirlooms and photos albums but the memories of her first home and other invaluable items are now gone. We are still praying and searching for her beautiful cats AK and Theodore who have not yet been located.
Shannon is a veteran, talented musician, gifted crocheter, animal lover, and one of the strongest women I have known. She is a gift to the community and to all of her friends. Shannon has already expressed to me how grateful she is to everyone who has reached out and offered support and items in her time of need.
This fundraiser has been started to assist her in acquiring the necessities for basic daily living as well as obtaining a temporary place to live and the start of a new beginning. We ask that you please share this with your family and friends as well as on social media so that the community can come together and help this beautiful soul begin anew. No gift is too big nor small and it will be most appreciated.
