Help Shannon Recker's family
Donation protected
My name is Amanda Fleischer and I am creating this fundraiser to help my aunt Shannon Recker's family.
On Saturday September 11th, Shannon suffered a massive stroke. She was sent to the hospital where they did an evaluation and immediately airlifted her to Franklin square hospital for emergency surgery. On September 16th, 2021, after days of praying and numerous tests The Lord took Shannon home. We learned soon after when Shannon was no longer here on this earth that she would continue to give her love, we were told she is an organ donor. An organ donor is a hero who has made the decision to save and heal lives. An honor walk will take place on Saturday September 18th with Shannon. A simple yet powerful gesture to honor Shannon's selflessness and her loved ones in giving life to others.
Such a young and beautiful soul gone too soon. She was a mother, a grandmother, fiancé, daughter and sister. Shannon leaves behind two amazing young children, a beautiful daughter (Amber Recker, 21) and sweet son (Brett Zimmerman, 13). Shannon and her fiancé (Wayne Zimmerman) celebrated 16 years together. Their anniversary was on May 14th 2005. Shannon was also blessed with a grandson (Cooper Wingfield) who brought joy to her world.
Life is so fragile and short and we never think about it because it is a scary thought. The questions, the unknown. But we know Shannon would want us all to stay strong and smile for her. Remember all of the beautiful memories we have with her. She is looking down on her family and with them always. We take comfort in knowing she is not in pain any longer, she is with her family in heaven. She will live forever on in our hearts and minds.
Being as Shannon was only 49 years old we never would have expected this day already, our hearts have shattered and our minds are flooded. On behalf of the family I am asking for any kind of donation, whether it's 50 cents or 5 dollars to help them with funeral expenses. I also ask for your continued prayers for her family and loved ones.
"Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means, I'll miss you until we meet again."
