Hi, my name is Bex and I’m fundraising for my boyfriend Shannon. After months and months of tirelessly searching for a surgeon who would perform top surgery Shannon finally found one who would look past arbitrary metrics like BMI. His surgery is scheduled for December 8, a little over two weeks from now. Today he received noticed from his insurance company that the surgery has been accepted, but he will need to pay $1,600 out of pocket. That number was a huge blow to us as two working class people combined with time off from work and waiting for disability. We now have just two weeks to come up with these funds in order for Shannon to recieve gender affirming and life changing care.
