Help Shannon Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Our friend Shannon Bilharz needs help. Unfortunately during hurricane Helene her entire house flooded in the evening of September 26th 2024. She is out of harm and so are the frenchies, but they will need our help as she demos and rebuilds her life and her home.

Her brand new house that she moved in to just a couple of weeks ago was underwater a few feet. There is no flood insurance (the insurance in Florida right now is a huge ordeal but even if there was, it takes 30 days to kick in) so she will count on the kindness of friends and strangers to help her.

Shannon is a kind person who will help anyone in need, regardless of whether she knows them well or not. She helped us when our house flooded in 2016 and her gofundme was key to our recovery back then. All funds will go directly to demo, rebuilding and mitigating flood damage sustained by Shannon’s home from Hurricane Helene, and keeping herself and her dogs safe.

Rebuilding after a flood and a huge catastrophic event is not easy, it will take several weeks and tons of resources as well as strength.
