Help Shannon Overcome Medical and Financial Struggles

Those of you who know Shannon know just how independent and proud she is and would never ask for a handout. Honestly, it’s usually her running the show for someone else in need. Now she is in need of our help. In early September, she woke up to severe burning, pins and needles, and excruciating pain in her lower legs and feet. As a true nurse, she ignored that pain, took an ibuprofen, and kept working.
Between now and then, she has been seen by her doctor multiple times, passed out in the office once, and was sent to the hospital for three days where she had a lumbar spine MRI stating she has severe spinal stenosis. She went back to her doctor for a follow-up, and on Friday, she saw a neurologist to make a plan of care. He scheduled her for an EMG on her feet and another on her hands that are constantly cold and numb. He also wants to do more MRIs on the rest of her spine and an EEG. She also has to see a cardiologist for clearance for spinal surgery because she’s been having orthostatic hypotension. Lying and sitting, her blood pressure will be 140/99, but when she stands up, it drops to 80/40. These aren’t always the exact numbers, but it’s just an example of what happens.
During this time, she has been unable to work and doesn’t have benefits through her employer due to her “as needed” status. That means no insurance, no paid time off, no anything. She does have health insurance through Terry’s job at Choctaw, so that’s a blessing, but the bills have already climbed greatly.
The next few weeks are going to be tough because if she can’t work, she can’t help Terry pay their bills or pay for all the extra medical bills.
She is so afraid they are going to lose everything. I know this is the worst time of year to be asking for help, but I don’t know what else to do for her besides pray, which I am! Any amount will help, and I know God will get her through this just as he has before. As most of you know, Shannon is a very caring person and RN who has nursed us or our family members back to health or held their hand while taking that last breath. Please find it in your hearts to help Shannon during this very difficult time. Your generosity will not go unnoticed. If you need or would like an alternative way to help, please reach out to me or Stacy Goodin on here or via messenger. Thank you!
I want to help her in any way. Please consider donating to her needs. No amount is too small.
