A few days before Christmas Shannon was taken to the hospital for difficulty from Covid. Since that time, she has been fighting hard for life. Shannon is a strong and spirited single mother to an amazing son. She is the kind of friend who would drop everything just to be there for her people. She loves her family dearly and they love her more than she knows.
Shannon has devoted her life to serving the public. From her younger years of running around in an ambulance, her years of service to the Department of Corrections and her devotion to saving animals in desperate need, Shannon has made numerous sacrifices to helping others. Her most recent adventure has been working for Bill’s Gun Range in Circle Pines. Shannon has a love for helping women take care of themselves and has been teaching a class to women at Bill’s. Shannon has touched so many lives with her desire to serve and now it’s our turn to show her how much she means to us.
Over the last few weeks Shannon has been on a ventilator at Region’s Hospital. She has been fighting Covid and her body has taken quite a hit during her battle. Her nurses take care of her like she is family, and her doctors remind us of how “zesty” Shannon is. It’s that strength inside her that we are all banking on. Our prayers are being answered with each little hurdle Shannon overcomes. We have absolute faith that Shannon will walk out of Region’s with her head held high and her loved ones by her side.
We know that the Lord is watching over her and that he hears our prayers, but we need to do our part in helping Shannon. The road to recovery is going to be long, painful and expensive. We want to help lighten the burden that she will be facing once she leaves the hospital. The goal of this GoFundMe is to help Shannon and her son get back on their feet. Any contribution is appreciated! We are grateful for anything that can be given, and all funds will go directly to Shannon through her father.
