When I was 7 years old, I broke my arm while showing off my new Barbie roller skates. That accident led to a hospital visit, and soon after, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Since then, I've lived with this condition for 44 years, facing constant challenges—financial, physical, and emotional. Managing diabetes means daily needles, medication, finger-poking, blood draws, doctor's appointments, and the ever-present worry about my health. Every meal and activity requires careful planning, and sometimes the consequences last all day. Despite following my doctor's advice and using all available tools, my blood sugar can swing unpredictably, making it feel like a game I can never win. Nighttime is especially frightening, as dangerously low blood sugar could lead to seizures, coma, or worse. I'm tired of being sick and constantly fighting this battle. That's why I've decided to pursue stem cell treatment—a chance to heal my pancreas and finally become a former type 1 diabetic. This treatment offers real hope for a normal life, free from the relentless stress and limitations of diabetes. I'm reaching out to my community for support to help me afford this life-changing treatment. Your generosity will help me move forward with renewed health and freedom, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
