Update: As many of you have heard, Shannon passed away 01/05/2026, due to complications of heart failure.
Please let me know if you would like your donation returned, as the flight funding is no longer needed. Any remaining or future donations will go towards his final expenses. Arrangements to be announced at a later date.
My husband, Shannon, is facing the fight of his life. After being diagnosed with kidney failure in 2022, he has overcome countless medical challenges, but now his survival depends on a life-saving heart operation. He needs an urgent cardiac surgery for Aortic Valve replacement, possible mitral Valve replacement, and repair of a cardiac aneurysm. The only place this surgery can be performed is in San Francisco, and he must be flown there from Honolulu on a medical flight that is not covered by insurance. Without this surgery, Shannon will not survive.
The funds raised will primarily go toward the cost of the medical flight, which is essential for Shannon to reach the hospital in time. In addition, I will need to travel with him and stay nearby during his recovery, so your support will also help cover my flight, accommodations, and medical bills not covered by insurance. Every dollar will help us get closer to giving Shannon the chance to see our children grow up and reach their milestones.
Many friends have followed Shannon's journey since his diagnosis. His greatest wish has been to live long enough to see all our children graduate from high school. Our son Logan is working hard to graduate a year early in 2027, our oldest son Jace will graduate this May, and our twin girls will finish in 2030. Shannon is known for his kindness and generosity—he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. We are deeply grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and support we have received so far. Having this surgery would mean more years of memories together as a family. Shannon has always been a fighter, and with your help, he can keep fighting for the future he dreams of.
