A couple of weeks ago, Shannon visited two different eye doctors when she started feeling irritation in her eye. The doctors advised she had a serious infection and found that it was caused by stitches that were left in her eye from a previous eye surgery. This week she visited the ER and another specialist told her that if the infection did not heal, she would lose her eye.

Sunday she was admitted to the hospital because the infection was worsening. There, the doctors found the infection had spread to her brain. Unfortunately, the doctors informed her they cannot save her eye and they will need to remove it before the end of the week.

We have set up this GoFundMe to help raise funds that will be used towards hospital bills and the family’s living expenses. At this time, Shannon is not taking visitors but we ask for your support and prayers. We will provide status updates as we get them.
