Help Shannon and Matt start again after flood

Hello there,

A very dear friend of mine Shannon and her partner Matt have had their home in Lismore, NSW, go completely underwater in the recent floods.

Shannon is a local Osteopath and has been helping out in her community for many years, putting the health of her patients first.

After negotiating the difficulties of running a small business throughout the past couple of years, losing their home and most of their possessions on Monday 28th February was a real blow.

Shannon and Matt have lost most of their household and shed contents. They have lost some precious memories, as well as large items such as fridges, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, couches, beds and more. Shannon and Matt have even had to remove their kitchen and laundry cabinetry, making the task ahead to rebuild and replace very overwhelming.

With insurance companies making it near impossible or unviable to insure houses in flood prone Lismore, Shannon and Matt need a little help to get back on their feet.

They are both hardworking people who often put others’ needs before their own. They were both reluctant to accept financial help from others at first, believing others’ as in need of assistance over themselves. However, this is absolutely what they need right now.

If you could spare some money to help Shannon and Matt replace, repair and recover from the heartache, trauma and loss these floods have brought, they would be forever grateful, as would I.
