Help Shanice McGregor Beat Stage 2 Breast Cancer

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shanice McGregor. I am a 32-year-old beautician and entrepreneur, the proud owner of Hair Addicts Hair & Beauty Salon, which I’ve operated for over 12 years. From a young age, I had dreams of becoming one of the best in the beauty industry, and I’ve worked tirelessly to bring my vision to life.
I’m a mother to a beautiful 10-year-old daughter, a sister, a daughter, a cousin, a niece, and a friend to many. Beyond my passion for beauty, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
In late 2024, I noticed a small lump in my right breast. At first, it wasn’t painful, but over time, it grew and became more painful. Concerned, I visited my doctor. Given my clinical symptoms and age, I was told the lump would be monitored. However, as weeks passed, the pain intensified, and the lump continued to grow.
After further consultation, I was advised to undergo a series of scans and blood tests. The results showed that the lump appeared to be an infection, which brought some relief, but the pain remained unresolved.
Despite the initial diagnosis, the pain persisted, and I felt the need to seek further answers. In early 2025, I traveled to the United States to get a second opinion. On March 20, 2025, I was admitted to Broward Memorial Hospital Fort Lauderdale, where I underwent more scans and lab tests.
The news I received just five days later changed my life forever.
I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. The moment I heard those words, my world stopped. I couldn’t believe it. I battled with depression, anxiety, and isolation, and I withdrew from everything and everyone I knew. The emotional weight of the diagnosis was overwhelming.
But despite everything, my will to live, for myself and my 10-year-old daughter, drove me to keep pushing forward.
The doctors have outlined a treatment plan to prevent the cancer from progressing to Stage 3.

This plan includes:
3 months of chemotherapy
A lumpectomy (surgical removal of the tumor)
Another 3 months of chemotherapy
Radiation therapy

In addition, I urgently need a port placement surgery to begin my treatment, which costs over $10,000.
The total cost of my treatment amounts to over $200,000. Unfortunately, I do not have health insurance, and the financial burden is overwhelming. That’s why I am reaching out to you for help.
I’m humbly asking for your support in my fight against breast cancer. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards covering the cost of my medical treatment, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and related expenses.
I know that with the help of God and the kindness of my community, I can overcome this. I am deeply grateful for any support you can offer, whether through a donation or simply by sharing my story with others.
I am praying for strength, healing, and the ability to continue to be there for my daughter and loved ones. I trust that with your help, I can beat this.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers, love, and support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Shanice McGregor
