Shanetta Taylor is my cousin, and her strength has inspired our entire family. She’s 42 years old and has been battling a chronic illness since she was 30, just three months after welcoming her only child. Over the years, Shanetta has endured more than 20 surgeries, each one a testament to her resilience and hope. Unfortunately, her two most recent major surgeries in 2023 and 2024 have left her in need of life-saving reconstructive surgery to correct complications.
On February 20th, Shanetta, her daughter Bre'elle, and her mother will need to fly to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas, for her first consultation. After that, she’ll undergo surgery, but we don’t know how long they’ll need to stay in Houston. Because Shanetta is too ill to travel by car, flying is the only option. The costs of airfare, lodging, and food are overwhelming for the family, especially as they focus on supporting Shanetta through this critical time.
Your prayers and financial support are deeply appreciated. Shanetta is a sweet, humble young lady who faces daily pain, and our hope is that this surgery will ease some of her struggles. Any help you can give means the world to our family as we rally around Shanetta on her journey to healing.
