My name is Shanel, and I’m a preschool teacher for students with disabilities, a full-time student, and a mom of two. Recently, my car was stolen. While I was lucky enough to get my car back, I discovered that my wallet and my Stanley were missing. I know I shouldn’t have left my wallet in the car, but it must have fallen out of my purse without me noticing. The Stanley was the only thing I treated myself to during the holidays, and it brought me a little bit of joy every day.
Losing my wallet has been especially hard. It held so many important cards, and I can’t even remember everything that’s missing. The stress of trying to replace everything, on top of my responsibilities as a teacher, student, and mom, has been overwhelming. I don’t usually do much for myself, so having the one thing I bought just for me taken away has been really tough emotionally.
Replacing my Stanley and wallet would help me feel a bit more like myself again and bring some comfort after this difficult experience. Any support would mean so much to me as I try to recover from this loss. Thank you for helping me feel seen and cared for.
