My name is Shanel. I am a nursing student, single mother of 3, and working full-time. I have been given the opportunity to travel abroad through my nursing institution to Guatemala in May/June to help care for and educate malnourished mothers and children, as well as developmentally delayed children.

This has been a dream of mine to travel and be able to make an impact on those in other countries. I never thought I would be given this opportunity! Unfortunately, it does come with a cost that I find a struggle to pay for alone.

I do not like asking for help, for I am an independent woman, but this is so important to me and those I can help in Guatemala. Any donations I could get would be so greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance!
