Shane Dakin, help Lisa during this difficult time

If you have had the experience of meeting Shane Dakin, he is not likely someone you'd forget! He was a free spirit with a wild streak, full of energy, living life to the fullest kind of guy. Like most of us, Shane certainly had his flaws, but his passion, love and loyalty for friends and family was not among them. If SHANE knew you enough to LOVE YOU, HE WAS ALL IN!
In 2012 when Shane met Lisa, he met his match, while not quite as wild as Shane, then again, who is:), she is an equally free spirit who cherished Shane's heart, as she too shares his intense loyalty and love for family and friends. So, on May 26, 2014 when they said in good times and bad, in sickness and health...I will love you all the days of my life, he meant it, she meant it, they lived it, but now they could TRULY use our help.
As you know, Shane passed away on May 2, 2021 while at the beach with Lisa in Wilmington. Making those arrangements alone would be financial strain enough. The medical bills incurred while trying to save him after multiple heart attacks and a medically induced coma are crippling.
If it has been a long time since many of you have seen or spoken with Shane, you may not know he was a GM of a successful health club here in the Triad, NC. Unfortunately, due to the government restrictions placed on health clubs, Shane's gym had been closed for nearly a year, only recently returning to a limited schedule of operating hours. As with many small or independent businesses, Shane's gym was not able to keep his health and life insurance fully in tact, which only adds to the financial difficulties Shane's passing will leave on Lisa,
After speaking with several of our close friends, we decided while there may be other measures we can take to honor Shane, helping Lisa is and should be the first priority, knowing how deeply he loved her, I have no doubt this is what he would want and hope for from people he loved.
We all realize times are difficult for many, but if everyone who has felt the love from Shane's smile on their face or the laughter from being around him does the best they can, we can truly honor Shane through helping Lisa.
Thanks for taking the time to read and doing what you can.
