On August 19, 2024 I got into serious car accident that has changed my simulation. Luckily my two boys Tighe, and Carter weren’t in my car. I was turning left on Rt 15 turning left into Kleen mist and was 80% of the way in when a car hit me on my rear passenger tire and flung me spinning until I made contact on the other side as well. Fortunately from my understanding no one was seriously injured in their vehicle.
After being transported to Geisinger by ambulance I was told that I have the following: L1 Vertebral Fracture (HCC), L2 Vertebral Fracture (HCC), Rib Fracture, T 12 Compression Fracture (HCC). This just had to happen after I finally got over fracturing my L1 Vertebral taking Carter sledding in February.
On Thursday August 22, 2024 I went into surgery and had successful lumbar fusion and was placed into ICU till I came home August 29, 2024.
I had to swallow my pride to even create this. I have always tried to do what I could for others and always have tried to make people happy before my own happiness. My 2019 Lincoln MKZ was deemed a total loss, fortunately I have gap insurance and this should leave me off the hook for that luckily. However it doesn’t leave me with a car, which I need to continue working for Uber when they clear me to work. Any donations given will go directly to a new vehicle and to help pay my bills until they think I can get back on my feet. They don’t have a timetable for how long the recovery should be but it’s not going to be anytime soon.
That being said, whoever has put me in their prayers, reached out to see how I’m doing, made food or M & M cookies for me, or have made sure Carter and Sarah didn’t need anything with 1st grade and football just starting I truly appreciate it. I’m thankful to still be here and can’t wait till I’m fully recovered. Thanks again.
