Shane is battling what doctors think is TAFRO Castleman's Kojima Syndrome, a rare disease that has placed Shane in St.Paul's hospital here in Vancouver for almost two months now. Shane has already undergone multiple surgeries and chemotherapy and everyday is a new struggle. Shane's sister Tonia and her husband Jim- Shane's only family- are here from ontario. They have done an amazing job supporting Shane everyday since falling ill, but Shane has a long road to recovery, and they will have to return to their home soon. Shane is one of the most generous, loyal, loving people we know-a guy who thought nothing of bringing someone off the street into a restaurant to get them a meal, has always been there for his friends and out to help everyone he could.
