Update. First bill from the hospitals is over 132,000.00. On May 12th, 2025, at 6:16 pm, Shane was in a very serious motorcycle accident. He was traveling 70 mph north on I-65 in Tennessee when he entered a construction zone. They were repaving, and his bike ran across loose gravel on the road. The next thing he remembered was waking up at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Working on him through the night, they discovered a punctured lung. A chest tube was inserted. All ribs were broken on his right side. His right collarbone and shoulder were broken. He was placed on a ventilator because his oxygen levels were dangerously low, and he could not breathe on his own. He was in and out of consciousness throughout the night. At this point, all they could do was make him comfortable until his body was ready to fight back. He was placed on some very strong pain meds and also an epidural. After 2 days in the Trauma ICU, the doctors said he was going to make it. He regained consciousness and was trying to breathe on his own. That's when they knew he was going to make a full recovery. It's going to be 8-12 weeks of recovery time, with a lot of physical therapy and a lot of painful days ahead of him. Shane is now recovering at home with his family, who is taking great care of him. Any donations are greatly appreciated at this time. Medical bills are already starting to pour in and will be well over $50,000-$60,000. This has started to affect his mental status, which is hindering his ability to heal because he is really stressed out right now. He’s worried about making his monthly bills as well as taking care of medical bills. It’s really hard for him to reach out and ask for help because he is always been the one to help out other people as much as possible. Shane has a lot of friends and all those friends he considers Family. I know he would be greatly appreciated for any help and support he can get right now. When it’s all said and done and he makes a full recovery and gets back on his motorcycle he would love to go for a ride with each and everyone of you. He loves you all. Thank you for all your support.
