Hi, my name is Majella and I am a friend of the Butler family. As some of you may know, Shane Butler, Keith and Sinead's beautiful son, has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was lucky enough to have it diagnosed and removed in a very short time span, but his radiotherapy and chemotherapy journey is only just begun.

Shane and his fiancee, Niamh, are currently living in Abu Dhabi, and have to remain there until at least the first set of treatment is complete. This is a very worrying and stressful time for Shane, his mam and dad, his brother, his fiancee, and of course the extended Butler Clan. He needs his family around him at this critical time and it's very expensive for anyone to have to fly to and stay in Abu Dhabi to be there for Shane.

All of us in Nenagh who know Keith and Sinead know that both of them would give you their own last penny and would bend over backwards to help anyone in need. So I hope that we can all do the same for them, even if they are giving out about us doing it! It wouldn't be them if they didn't :)

The main fundraising here will be done by all the swimmers in the Nenagh Masters Swimming Club, Nenagh Tri Club and Nenagh Neptune Swimming Club. We will have a Swimathon on SUNDAY 10 May and all are welcome to come and support us.
