Yesterday, our family’s world was turned upside down when Shane Liemgruber and his fiancée, Penny Bell, were involved in a very serious car accident in Bluffton. What started as a normal day quickly became a nightmare, and they are now facing a long road to recovery.
Shane has dedicated 25 years working for the city and is truly one of the most caring and giving people we know—he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Right now, he is in the hospital and will be there for at least the next week after undergoing surgery for internal bleeding. He is recovering and it will be okay, but right now he needs support.
Penny is also in the hospital recovering from her injuries after being pinned in the vehicle during the crash and needing to be extracted. She is in a lot of pain and has significant bruising throughout her body as she begins the healing process.
In addition to the challenges ahead, they are now without a vehicle, which was not only their main means of transportation but also their main source of income. With injuries, hospital stays, and time away from work, the financial burden is overwhelming on top of the emotional toll this has taken on our family.
We are asking for prayers, support, and any help you can give during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go toward medical expenses, transportation, lost income, and helping them get back on their feet. Thank you for standing with our family and showing love when we need it most.
