I'm Lynn and my son Blue in the photo was trying to help put out the fire that devoured our neighbor's house this morning in Albuquerque starting at 3:30 am. The family of 3, Shane, his wife Lupina and their precious 4 year old son Gauge are safe, but understandably in shock. We do not know yet what started their fire in the middle of the night as they were sleeping, but we do know that 6 firetrucks could not save the house. It is gone; all their keepsakes were stored in the garage; the house will be bulldozed and only a few bags of their possessions were salvageable. Shane and Lupina have been sweet and lovely, quiet and hardworking neighbors and I will miss them greatly. Our hearts go out to this family who hid their son in the house across the street so he would not see the fire burn down his home. Please consider, all you angels, contributing to help them in this traumatic time. The family also lost their car in the fire. All donations will go directly to the family to help with immediate needs--food, clothing and basic necessities.
