Friends and Family,
Shane and I have decided to take a step of faith to move back to our hometown Lima, OH as we believe the Lord is calling us there with clear vision to start a House of Prayer and Healing/Training Center. We feel a mandate to create a place to minister to the heart of God, to pray over Ohio, and to pray over and create a place for worshipers, leaders, and ministers to come and find healing, training, and a space to meet with God.
Until the Lord shows us more, we are going to walk in obedience, surrender, and in service to the church and my parents as pastors at New Hope Christian Center. We will take our time to get settled in and let Him lead the way.
TRANSPARENCY: We had a huge moving sale this past weekend and have been believing that the Lord would provide the means for us to make this trip back to Ohio, but we are still needing funds for travel expenses. We had to stop accepting clients with our woodworking business a few weeks ago so we can pack and move, and until Shane starts his job on September 8, we are 100% walking this out in faith. We are still believing in God for provision for the U-haul, for all travel and moving expenses, and for provision until Shane’s job officially starts. This is just being transparent, as we know that our transparency will also give others encouragement to walk out in faith. When God says GO….you go...even if it doesn’t make sense and it doesn’t seem tangible. God gave Moses and the Israelites daily manna, we are believing Him for the same as we obey. GOD IS OUR GREAT SHEPHERD, and when HE leads, HE makes a way! We trust Him! Move-out date is this coming Sunday, August 31st, then we will be heading to Lima, OH on the first of September!!!

HERE IS OUR STORY!
9 ½ years ago when God called us to San Diego, CA…we had NO idea of all the blessings of growth and the deep wells of friendship we would find there! My sweet River Sage was born in California, we have so many that we now call forever framily there, we got to be a part of the most amazing grassroots movement called Awaken The Dawn for 5 years, and we found even more passions and skills while we lived there. San Diego was one of our most fruitful, yet loved places to ever have lived. The mountains, beach, weather, food, just everything was like living in a vacation destination. It will forever be a home of ours!
Then God said Dallas, TX…and WOW! Moving to Texas was the next level of growing spiritually, deep wells of friendship, and finding ourselves fully. WOW. It has been a beautifully crazy 3 years. Maybe we didn’t love the land and weather as much, but the richness of friendships and the richness of the Presence of God has forever changed our lives. I was able to teach at Christ For The Nations Institute for all 3 years, Shane and I started a business together, we got to be a part of UPPERROOM Dallas by attending their weekly prayer sets, attended and served at UPPERROOM Frisco with Shane and I serving on the Sunday morning Worship Team, led the Tuesday night prayer sets, Eden serving on the Worship Team with the youth, and being able to serve in the kid’s ministry with Eden was pure joy!!!! The richness that we found and the seeds planted in our spirits and hearts at UpperRoom will be a harvest that’s waiting to come!!!!
I have so many words I could share about both places we love so much…but that will be stories for another time. The treasures we found there are LASTING friendships that I believe are not the end of the road, but the beginning of the next chapter. BUT GOD…..He’s been giving me dreams of Lima for the last 2 years and since this past February…the stirring in my Spirit to follow His lead has been undeniable. I cannot tell you enough that something BEAUTIFUL is happening in Lima, Ohio!!!!! Everyday God shows me more and more of what is coming and what He has in store for ALL of the churches and ministries there…but also how He SOOOOOOOO cares for the lost and hurting in Ohio and the harvest is ready!!!!!!
With Shane and I being a part of Awaken The Dawn for 5 years and UpperRoom for 2 years, the Lord has even more deepened our hearts for the Prayer/Worship Room movement. But during our journey, God has healed places in both of us, through worship and His presence, that we are forever grateful for….but now see the need for healing to also take place in others who are so desperate for freedom. We see the deep need for tangible training that will help others to walk in the calling that God has placed on their lives. We see the deep need for HIS PRESENCE and SPIRIT to move in our meetings and conversations. We see the hunger for those who desire to clearly hear His voice. We see the church hurting, from leadership to the body, from sin in the secret that has gotten exposed. We see the deep love of God that calls out to the children to dance and sing and experience His Spirit like they’ve never experienced before. There is no junior Holy Spirit…on ONE HOLY SPIRIT!!!! Our kids have experienced Him in such a real way, and Shane and I are so thankful for that! Truly His Presence and the Word is the only thing that changes us and can set us free. The Presence of God has changed Shane and I, it has changed our kids. WE HAVE SEEN HIS FACE, and WE’VE BEEN DEEPLY TOUCHED BY HIS GREAT LOVE!!!!!
This is the journey He has taken us on to prepare and to ready us to starting this HOUSE OF PRAYER and MINISTRY CENTER. He has given us specific instruction, and we know when He says go, you go without questions.
THINGS TO PRAY FOR AND WAYS TO HELP OUR FAMILY DURING THIS BIG TRANSITION:
PRAY FOR PEACE to lead our hearts, especially my three children…Eden – 14, Judah – 11, River – 6. Leaving our community here is going to be HARD. Leaving the home we have lived in for 3 years is going to be HARD. We need an undergirding of deep Peace in our hearts.
PRAY FOR SMOOTH TRANSITION as change is so hard and moving is a lot of work. There will be a lot of adjusting in this transition, and we need God’s grace to go before us and surround us. We also have a huge house and lots of collected stuff over the years to pack and also to declutter. We just need strength and speedy work to be done in these next 3 weeks.
PRAY FOR PROTECTION over the next three weeks while we have already started to feel a bit of push back, and we just need Psalms 91 to truly manifest over our lives and household. Prayers for protection while we make the trip to Ohio with 3 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, a uhaul truck, a van, and a husband and wife team!
PRAY FOR PROVISION GOD IS OUR GREAT LEADER, and when HE leads, HE makes a way!
PRAY FOR JOY over my family during this time. WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR that has come and gone, but GOD HAS BEEN WITH US THROUGH IT ALL!!!!!! Just manifested JOY in and through us because of His presence that goes before us and that is with us!
HELP! We need BOXES!!!!! We got rid of all of ours thinking we wouldn’t move for a long time, and here we are! Any moving materials would be so helpful!
For those of you that are just finding this out and we are in community with you….WE LOVE YOU!!!!!! Shane and I are faithful friends, and will always be in your life, no matter where God takes our family. The door is always open to call, text, message, whatever it may be. COME VISIT US IN OHIO TOO!!!!! I’m sure there will be plenty of reasons in the future to come visit, and we’ll visit Dallas and San Diego too down the road. We just love everyone that God has brought into our lives.
I know this was long, but needed. I’ll be sharing along the way on this new journey God is taking us on. Even though we are going back to mine and Shane’s hometown, a friend once told me that going back is what is needed to go forward. We feel such peace and a knowing that God knew all along that He would circle us back around. TIMING IS EVERYTHING. To my Lima friends and family….we are so excited to be with y’all again and look forward to what the future holds!!!!
