Help Shanaiyah kickstart her dream career!

Hello, my name is Shanaiyah Catalan. I am a 17 year old senior senior at East Bronx Academy. this upcoming September I’ll be turning 18. As the month of June approaches. I’m to face a lot of life changing experiences. As I anticipate graduating a year early from highschool. I’ve never thought of finally making it to this moment. All my hard work and dedication has finally payed off. Since I was very young my mom instilled in me to always strive for greatness. Her push drove me to super excel at anything I put my mind to. And needless to say, I’m finally one step closer to my goal. In the midst of all the blessings coming my way as I anticipate walking down the aisle to receive my highschool diploma. I was presented an awesome opportunity to start a fast track Medical Assistant program. In which will allow me to graduate with 5 certifications. By the age of 18 I will have my medical assistant, phlebotomist, ekg, patient care tech and lastly multi skilled technician certification. Helping others has always been a dream of mine, whether it’s making them feel beautiful with makeup or helping them through tough times. This program is a 8 week program that is partnered with NHCWA (Nation Healthcare Workers Association) to help us receive our national certification. However, before starting this program we are responsible for buying the lab kits which includes everything we will need for our program. Stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, phlebotomy and ekg kit and so on and so forth. These tools are vital for everyday life throughout the program and will be needed for internships in hospitals to assist in my transition to potentially be employed by the hospital . Due to financial hardship it has been difficult to collect the funds on time. My lab kit cost $700 and I am asking if anyone would like to help donate anything to pursue my dreams.
