 We are reaching out to share the story of our beloved Shanae, a compassionate and selfless 28-year-old who has always dedicated herself to helping others. Recently, Shanae received the life-altering news of a large brain mass that requires surgical intervention. As her family, we have established this GoFundMe page under my name (Twyla) her Mom to support Shanae and her fiancé, Dakota, during this challenging time. 

 Shanae’s Story: Shanae is a kind soul with an unwavering commitment to assisting others. Not long ago, she started her own house-cleaning business, often going above and beyond to help seniors and those in need within our community. Her generous heart and selflessness have touched many lives, and she would never ask for anything in return. 

 The Diagnosis: For nearly a year, Shanae endured excruciating facial pain. After numerous consultations and tests, doctors discovered a significant mass in her brain. This diagnosis has been a devastating blow to Shanae and all who love her. She now faces a complex brain surgery and an extensive recovery period. 

 The Financial Challenge: While Alberta Health Services covers the cost of the surgery, there are numerous additional expenses that Shanae and Dakota will incur, including:  

•   Travel Expenses: Frequent trips for pre-surgery consultations and post-operative appointments.   

•   Medications: Prescriptions and medical supplies essential for Shanae’s recovery.   

•   Living Expenses: Mortgage payments, utilities, and daily necessities during Shanae’s time off work.   

•   Loss of Income: Shanae will be unable to work during her recovery, and Dakota wishes to take time off to be by her side, resulting in a significant reduction in their household income.
