Help Shana & Simone Rebuild After Eaton Canyon WildFires
Donation protected
My name is Nilka Rodgers. I am an educator residing in the DMV area with my family, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my husband's sister, my sister-in-law, Shana Rodgers, and my niece, Simone Rogers, who are facing a difficult time after the devastating wildfires that have swept through Eaton Canyon--Pasadena, California in LA County.
Shana and Simone recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Living at the base of Eaton Canyon in Los Angeles, their home and livelihood were profoundly impacted by the fires that swept through the area.
While our family is incredibly grateful that Shana and Simone evacuated safely, their home has suffered immense damage. The entire back of their house has been severely impacted, and they’ve lost all of their furniture, food, and other essentials. On top of this, Simone’s car was significantly damaged and in need of substantial repair. This has negatively impacted her job and source of income, creating even greater challenges in their efforts to rebuild their lives.
We count them fortunate compared to many of their neighbours who lost everything, but the losses they’ve endured are still overwhelming. Shana and Simone now face the monumental task of rebuilding their home and lives, a journey that they cannot take alone.
This GoFundMe campaign is a way to support Shana and Simone as they recover from this
Donations will go directly to: Shana Rodgers
- Relocation
- Replacing essential items like furniture, clothing, food, and travel expenses
- Covering immediate housing needs and repairs to their home
- Supporting their overall recovery as they work to rebuild
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your network is just as impactful. Together, we can help Shana and Simone regain stability, security, and a sense of home.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support. Shana and Simone are resilient, and with a community rallying around them, we know they can overcome this challenge.
With gratitude,
Nilka Rodgers
