Help Shana Continue Her Education in Italy
Hello! My name is Shana and I am 26 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in History and Sociology from the University of Memphis and I have been working in Japan as a teacher for two years.
Although living in Japan has been a great experience, my dream is to become an art curator and start my own art gallery. I want to learn about art and help young artist (especially POC artists) to publish and sell their art, and tell their stories to the world.
I was accepted into the Curatorial Studies Master program at the Istituto Europeo di Design spa in Florence Italy. I received a scholarship which covers 50% of the tuition, and the rest of the money for tuition and fees will come from my personal savings.
However, I am in need of support to help with living expenses in Italy. I need to pay for rent, utilities, transportation, and food for one year while I study. This comes out to around $1200 per month at minimum. While my visa will allow me to work part-time in Italy it may be difficult for me to find a job in Italy due to the language barrier and the economic situation caused by COVID-19.
So I am asking for support from my fellow humans to help me to achieve my dream! Any and all contributions will be appreciated more than you can imagine!
