Thank you for checking out our GoFundMe to help our friends Issis and Shamira raise funds to find safe housing in the tri-state area!

For folks who don’t know Issis and Shamira, they met at Alamo Drafthouse, worked together in the back of house, fell in love, and have been going strong for nearly two years.

Unfortunately, our friends are experiencing extreme hardship. In January, Shamira lost her mother, her housing and was falsely incarcerated. Issis is going through family turmoil and housing strife.

Both Issis and Shamira are looking for second jobs, but due to consistent obstacles and bill pile-ups, they are barely making ends meet. To start their next chapter and finally begin to live together, they need support from their communities.

Our goal is to raise $4000, $1,500 of which will go towards their first month's rent, $1,500 for a security deposit, $100 for four $25 application fees, assuming they might need to apply a few times, $500 for moving expenses, $400 for additional living expenses.

These two individuals are incredibly loving people and like everyone, deserve a safe place to call home. Please be a part of the community effort to get these queers a safe place to live, every dollar helps. Thank you for your support.
