My name is Shameka Colvin, owner of My Crazy Plant Life LLC, a nursery I built from the ground up in 2017 in Tampa, Florida. My home and nursery were devastated by two major hurricanes within 7 days of each other, Helene and Milton.  As an independent business owner, I take pride in my work and relationships with my customers. My passion for growing rare & exotic plants has allowed me to maintain a sustainable business, and form close friendships within the plant community. As a single mother of 3, it has come with its challenges; but the catastrophic damages to the nursery have brought me unimaginable despair. We are struggling with no power for 5 days now, and loss of basic necessities like food and water. This may be the heartbreaking end of the future operations of My Crazy Plant Life, LLC.; and a major loss for my family and the community that I serve, if I am unable to rebuild in a timely manner.

What will the Proceeds be used for?

The proceeds will be used to repair the extensive damage to my greenhouse and property, as a result of a large tree from the recent storm/wind damage that has obliterated it.  We are in immediate need of a generator and to hire a tree service. My children and I are in need of basic supplies such as food, water, and fuel.
