My name is Shallon, and I’m reaching out because I’m at a point where I truly need help. After leaving an abusive situation at home, I’ve been doing my best to survive on my own. I’ve relied on my savings and contract work, but a string of emergencies has left me barely holding on. My 19-year-old cat, who has been with me for most of my life, recently had a scary health episode that resulted in a large vet bill and a new diagnosis of hypothyroidism. She now needs monthly medication and regular checkups, and I want to make sure she gets the care she deserves.
On top of that, I’ve had to pay out-of-pocket for new glasses and contacts because my insurance didn’t cover what I needed, and my car’s clutch gave out, requiring major repairs. Now it needs more work, and I rely on my car for everything—especially getting my cat to the vet. I don’t have any parents or family to rely on, and I’m disabled from PTSD caused by what I went through. I’m working on a book and trying to build a better life, but these emergencies have slowed me down and drained my resources.
The funds I’m asking for will help me cover groceries, medical expenses, car repairs, and my cat’s ongoing care. I want to be able to get the medical tests I need, keep my car running, and make sure my cat stays healthy. I hate to ask for help, but I have nowhere else to turn. Your support would mean the world to me and give me and my cat a chance to breathe, heal, and move forward. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
