My name is Shalaine Thompson. I am a 22 year old student, currently attending THEE Jackson State University. I am an Accounting major with hopes of graduating Fall 2023. I plan to become a licensed CPA and move out of state to start my next journey.

I am an A, sometimes A/B student. I’ve always put school first, and I’ve always been an academic scholar.

I am currently a part of Tau Sigma National Honor Society and I made the President’s List last semester, aiming for the same goal this semester. I currently hold a 3.4 GPA, aiming for higher by the time I graduate.

I was granted loans and financial aid, however, that was not enough to pay everything off. I tried in the past, but I am unable to juggle working and going to school. I live at home with my mom who works so hard everyday to pay bills, buy groceries, and support me financially through school. This is why I am making this Go Fund Me so that I will be less of a burden on my mom.

I have until the end of April to get this balance of $2800 paid off, otherwise I will not able to continue my education and will possibly have to drop out. Every little bit can help and if you can, please share with others! Thank you in advance!
