Help Shakyra Move States

Hey there, I'm Shakyra Dunn, and I am a Black nonbinary voice actor and author.

I've lived in Iowa for ten years as od 2025, and every year that I remain here, I find that I feel stifled and unable to truly find stability.

It has been my desire for the last three years to seek a new change of scenery, to really feel like I can fight for my dreams, but between mounting debts ranging from bills to car payments/insurance and simply trying to stay afloat and survive in a rising economy, it's harder than ever to feel... alive.

I constantly feel as though time is running out. I live in constant anxiety. And it isn't something that I want. And even as the rest of the world is in chaos, I put this out here just to keep a little hope.

I know it's a hard ask. But I think this is probably my best and only option to find some stable ground and feel as though I can regain some will to fight for what I want again. Anything gained here, will go right into a separate account to save for any long-running moves, and left untouched until that comes.
