Help Shakannah and Mathew Overcome Crisis

Hi my name is Shakannah Mace. My boyfriend Mathew Tetteh and I were in a brutal car accident while riding in an Uber. The car we were in was hit on the passenger door side where I was sitting. I sustained several broken ribs, pelvic fracture, hip fracture, and a puncture to my lungs. As most people know I am very independent but due to this current situation I am going to need extensive care/therapy to ensure I can become mobile again. We are thankful to God that we both didn’t lose our lives that night. I am currently recovering in the hospital and will need additional care in a rehabilitation center. We have a long road ahead of us before I am able to return back to my normal routine and back home. Mathew also sustained some injuries as well but despite his pain he wants to ensure that he can be here for us the best way he can.

This accident has put us in a terrible position. I am a Cosmetologist and don’t know when I will be well enough to work and Mathew is a cobbler and can’t work either at this time. Also, I would need round the clock care during my stay in the rehabilitation center as well as once I return home.

We are asking for help to ensure that we can take care of 3 children, our household rent, bills, post hospital medical care and any equipment needed throughout the recovery process.
