My cousin’s family in Gambat, Pakistan, suffered an unimaginable tragedy when a devastating house fire left 2 dead, 2 fighting for their lives, and 4 with severe burns. They were already struggling to make ends meet, and now they have lost their home, belongings, and loved ones - with no way to afford medical care or rebuild. The sole breadwinner of the household, Faheem, is among the deceased. The family includes:
- Zareena Shaikh (68; deceased)
- Salma Shaikh (45; deceased)
- Farhana Shaikh (40; deceased)
- Faheem Shaikh (35; deceased)
- Sobia Shaikh (32; deceased)
- Iqra Shaikh (30)
- Rubab Fatima Shaikh (9; in critical condition; now deceased)
- Muhammad Shayan Shaikh (4; in critical condition; now deceased)
The survivors are facing a long and very painful recovery, but without help, they will not get the treatment they need nor the means to begin rebuilding their lives. We are urgently raising funds for:
- Emergency medical care and surgeries
- Funeral expenses for Faheem and Salma
- Basic necessities (food, clothing, shelter, etc.)
- Rebuilding their home
