A Small Shelter With a Big Heart — Struggling to Survive

Hi, my name is Shahrukh, and I run a small animal shelter that I built from the ground up with nothing but love, determination, and an unshakable belief that every animal deserves a second chance.

I'm in my early 30s and have spent the last several years dedicating my life to rescuing, feeding, and rehabilitating abandoned, injured, and homeless dogs. What started with one stray pup quickly turned into a mission. Today, I care for over 50 dogs — each with their own name, personality, and heartbreaking story.

But keeping this shelter running is getting harder every day.

The Struggle Behind the Smiles

Despite the wagging tails and hopeful eyes, the reality behind the scenes is tough. Every day, I face enormous challenges just to provide the basic necessities:

Food for over 50 dogs — some of them large breeds, some with special dietary needs

Medical care — vaccines, surgeries, spaying/neutering, and emergency treatment

Clean water, bedding, and shelter maintenance

Rescue missions, transportation, and finding forever homes for adoptable dogs

I don’t have any major sponsors or regular funding. Most months, I rely on my personal savings, small donations, and the help of a few kind-hearted individuals. But with rising costs and more animals needing help, it’s simply not enough anymore.

Why I Need Your Help

This isn’t just a shelter — it’s a lifeline for animals that would otherwise be left to suffer on the streets. Many of the dogs I rescue are:

Injured in traffic accidents

Abused or neglected by previous owners

Left behind when people move or pass away

Born on the streets with no one to care for them
