"A cry from the heart of Gaza... Shahd and Hisheem and a life story waiting for an opportunity." In Gaza, where life is difficult even for adults, Shahd, an eighteen-year-old girl, married early in the hope of adopting a small home filled with love and warmth. Her husband, Hisham Bashir, is a 25-year-old hard worker who struggles with poverty and unemployment, like many others under the siege. Today, Shahd not only carries hope in her heart, but also in her womb... her first child.Rahma Shaaban, who passed through his presence, grew silently amidst pain, fear, and need. Shahad doesn't have enough food to feed her baby properly, and Hisham doesn't have a steady source of milk, medicine, or even the reassurance of a future he chooses. Every day that passes is a new challenge... Every moment carries children for an unborn child, and a young mother struggles with the harshness of life without support. In Gaza, pain doesn't need a lot of support. He needs pictures to prove his existence... Shahed and Hisham live this pain every day. Today, they need someone to listen to them, someone to feel for them, someone to extend a helping hand, even if it's just a little. Help them so this child can be born into a dignified life, not one of hunger and fear. Help Shahed see her child's smile, not her tears. Help Hisham feel capable of protecting his little family. Perhaps your hand will be the reason this child begins a dignified life. Please help my unborn child and me from dying of hunger.
