Hi, my name is Shaheed, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest times in my life. In February, I unexpectedly lost my job, and despite countless applications, interviews, and hustle doing odd jobs, I haven’t been able to find stable employment yet.

I’ve done everything I can to stay afloat — picking up part-time work, freelancing, and stretching every dollar — but it just hasn’t been enough to cover rent for the past few months. Now, I’m facing the very real possibility of losing my apartment, the home I share with my two beloved cats, Simba and Keanu.

They are more than pets — they’re my emotional support, my family, and my comfort through this incredibly difficult chapter. The thought of having to give them up or not having a safe place for us to live is devastating.
