My name is Zakaria ZAHIDI, a french citizen setting up this GoFundMe for Ahmed and his Wife, Shahed, who's currently battling a thyroid cancer. The couple are good friends of my mother, who moderates and keep an eye on their livestreams as a moderator. The couple, unfortunately lives in Gaza, as poverty and war makes their lives nigh impossible.

Shahed got diagnosed with thyroid cancer back in 2023, a few month before the current occupation. Luckily enough, the two had the ressources to afford surgery for Shahed, who made a full recovery. That is, until March 2024 when the cancer metastasized. At the time, fundings and donations were sufficient enough to treat Shahed until now. The situation now. Here's a message from Ahmed, translated to english. :

I am Ahmed, a husband from Gaza. I write these words with a heart heavy with pain and fear for my wife, who is battling cancer.

Since the doctors told us the diagnosis, our lives have been turned upside down. Our days have become a blur of medical tests, treatments, and constant anxiety, all while we try to hold onto hope and prayer. My wife is fighting the disease with all her strength and patience, despite the physical and psychological pain she endures every single day.

The war and the difficult conditions in Gaza have made obtaining treatment and medical care even harder, and the expenses have exceeded our capacity. I am trying with everything I have to provide her with the treatment and basic necessities, but my limited resources are no longer enough.

Because of this, I turn to you today asking for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, can help provide the necessary treatment, tests, and medications for my wife, giving us a chance to continue this fight.

I also ask you to pray for her speedy recovery, as prayers and hope are what give us the strength to keep going.
