Help Shahan in his long road to recovery

As some of you know, our dearest friend Shahan was in a serious motorbike road accident on Highway 18 north of Turkey Creek Point. The incident happened just before midnight on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Anyone that is acquainted with Shahan knows that he is a fighter and it will be a very long battle to recovery as there are severe head injuries involved and there will be multiple surgeries and rehabilitation ahead.

Initial steps involve his immediate surgeries to control internal bleedings that have happened due to the severe impact on his head. He is still in coma and the doctors are waiting for his healing and rest before they try to bring him out of coma. So far he has had two brain surgeries- one on the left and the other one on the right. The cost to recover and set up any accessibility options are going to be significantly high. We are also working on trying to bring his parents here with him as they live in a different country.

As of now, he does not have an OHIP(Ontario Health Insurance Plan) but we know he is eligible to get one. We are trying our best to see if OHIP can be issued for him as soon as possible.

We are asking if anyone can help out even by a little bit, it would make a huge difference in reducing some of the financial stress and hardships along the way.

We will continue to provide updates on his progress throughout. We are all waiting for him to recover and see that smile on his face once again.
