My name is Shae, and I’ve always prided myself on being self-reliant and hardworking. I’m usually the person others turn to for help, but after a serious car accident on Sunday, December 28, 2025, I was transported by ambulance to a hospital where I remained for three days being treated for a concussion, pounding headaches, and excruciating right hip, knee, and ankle pain. Now, l find myself in a position where I must ask for help. My totalled van, which is essential for my work and livelihood, was towed by AAA to a location far from my home, despite my adamant requests that it be towed to where I live. Now, I’m unable to work, and the bills are quickly mounting, as I try to resolve this situation. When I reached out to AAA for help, I was told to pay out of pocket to retrieve my inoperable van and submit the bill for "an investigation and possible" reimbursement. Unfortunately, I simply don’t have the funds to cover these unexpected costs, and without transportation, I can’t get back to work. This has not only affected me but also the workers we recently hired, who depend on Cobblermania for their jobs. I am asking for help so I can fix or replace my van and return to work as soon as possible. Any and all assistance will help me get back on my feet and ensure that my team can keep their jobs.
