Help shadow walk again from a hit & run

This has been an unfortunate situation that we will probably never get the full story due to an irresponsible owner who even now can’t own up to this.

This is Drogos brother, his name is shadow. He was run over by a car under his owners care and he claimed he took him to a clinic to help save him and ended up not being able to afford it so he decided to abandon him at the shelter. He texted us in the group chat with all the siblings “it was fun while it lasted.” This owner did not care for him with no care in the world whether he was going to make it or be put down/euthanized. 

I physically went myself and they told me he was left as a stray that was found hit by a car. His own owner lied and acted as if he didn’t know who his own dog was and he abandoned him. In the pictures you can see him. He’s sad, confused, depressed, didn’t understand who I was or what I was doing there. He knew he had been abandoned and it broke my heart. 

Shadow has fractures and a possible broken from leg and a swollen back thigh. This is a procedure the shelter cannot do. They won’t let me take him until the 10th. My personal vet has offered to help me as much as he can but he told me this bill even with his help could be about 5k to help save him. He needs to see him ASAP to take X-rays to see exactly what is wrong with him. 

We already have someone who wants to adopt him and give him a home but she cannot carry these cost on her own and we are trying to help her so that she can take him in and care for him.
